The Capital Regional District (“CRD”) Regional Parks division is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to perform a comprehensive Site Assessment for the worksites at 728 and 734 Beaver Lake Rd. It will include a condition assessment of the existing buildings and site services such as electrical, internet, and sewer systems.
The worksites are at 728 & 734 Beaver Lake Rd, Saanich. It is situated on a flat, open terrain with two access points. The site assessment report shall guide improvements to enhance the site's layout and functionality. The site is currently functional for its purpose, it has an office building, work site, workshops, space for storage containers and open storage for aggregates, parking lots, and a septic field. The site map below shows the cadastre and existing infrastructure on the site.
Currently, there is limited as-built information and few reports available for the buildings. Consultants shall carry out visual site inspections, systematically recording the site and building systems using photographs, data collection, note-taking, and interviews with CRD personnel to uncover known concerns. The collected information shall be analyzed and compiled into a report that includes a summary of the site components and the building, the condition of services and systems, and tables reflecting immediate and projected long-term costs.
Upon award of the contract, CRD and the successful proponent will hold a kick-off meeting to discuss the appropriate level of detail to be carried out.
