Bylaw Enforcement
The Capital Regional District (CRD) Bylaw Services Department, provides expert and professional enforcement services in various fields of bylaw enforcement. Enforcement goals are met with integrity, impartiality and professionalism. Services are available to all departments of the CRD and all Municipal Governments within the Regional District.
What We Do
Animal Control
An Animal Control Officer's main focus is to maintain compliance of the Animal Control Bylaw.
Animal Control is achieved through solid Animal Control enforcement techniques and a strong licensing program. The Animal Control Service is also applied to specific environments such as City Parks.
Animal Sheltering is achieved in a safe and secure environment. Shelter personnel are dedicated to the well being and relocation of animals through a highly successful adoption program.
Bylaw Enforcement
General Bylaw Enforcement is the main focus of the Division. A Bylaw Officer's task involves maintaining compliance to numerous bylaws:
