The water treatment process consists of coarse filtration, Ultra Violet Light disinfection and chlorine (liquid sodium hypochlorite) disinfection.

Distribution System

Treated water is pumped to the Cedar lane tank and distributed to customers through a 1,500 metre network of 150mm (6”), 100mm (4“) and 50mm (2”) water mains. Service connections are provided to the property line with curb stops and individual household meters. Service from the property line to the dwelling is the homeowners’ responsibility. The distribution system also contains hydrants and standpipes.
