EcoStar Awards

Actually, it is easy being green. And now it's rewarding, too.

Every environmental leader deserves the opportunity to highlight and demonstrate their contributions toward making the capital region a more vibrant community. The CRD’s EcoStar Community Environmental Awards recognize outstanding achievements and contributions by local businesses, groups and individuals to enhancing our environment.

The CRD has designed its award categories to reflect the diverse and innovative projects underway across the region, helping the best environmental stewards to shine.

Residents and business owners of the Capital Region may nominate environmentally friendly organizations, companies, schools or individuals in one of the following seven categories:

2013 EcoStar Awards are being offered in the following categories:

1. Community Environmental Leader
2. Youth Leader
3. Water Stewardship
4. Waste Reduction
5. Climate Action
6. Land Stewardship
7. Integrated Watershed Management

Nominations for the 2013 EcoStar Awards have been extended until May 17 at midnight.
