The CRD acts as the municipal government for the Juan de Fuca, Salt Spring Island, and Southern Gulf Islands Electoral Areas and provides administrative and financial support to several emergency programs.
Each municipality in the CRD is responsible for the emergency planning and programs available in their own areas.
