Capital Region Housing Corporation
The Capital Region Housing Corporation (CRHC) is a non-profit provider of over 1200 rental units of affordable housing in the Capital Regional District of Victoria, BC.
We provide affordable housing for:
- Families with low to moderate incomes
- Seniors with low to moderate incomes
- Persons in receipt of a disability income
Wheelchair Accessible Units
Some of our subsidized and market rental units are modified for wheelchair users. We have one, two and three bedroom units. These units may include:
- Bathrooms with wheel-in showers and grab bars
- Modified kitchen cabinets and appliances
- Lowered light switches
- Access to overall site amenities
The Corporation does not provide support services, so tenants must be able to live independently or make their own arrangements for homemaker and care services.
Subsidized Housing
The majority of our units are subsidized apartments and townhouses. Tenants are selected from a Central Waitlist which is maintained by BC Housing. Tenants provide household income information each year to receive a rent subsidy.
Market Housing (Non-subsidized)
These are units that rent for approximately 90-95% of the average rent for similar units in the private sector. They are primarily available for families who require rental accommodation but whose income is too high to qualify for subsidized housing. Vacancies in the market rentals are posted on this website.
Affordable housing is the cornerstone of a healthy and economically strong community, and the Housing Corporation is committed to improving housing opportunities for the citizens of the Capital Regional District in the years to come.
