Gulf Islands Harbours
Welcome to the boating capital of the world! Sparkling waters, mild climate, spectacular sea life and enchanting coastlines make boating the ideal way to explore this region.
Overview

The Southern Gulf Islands are made up of seven major islands in the protected waters behind Vancouver Island, forming part of a rocky archipelago that stretches from Georgia Strait into Puget Sound.
Rocky shores on the islands are stopover sites for migratory birds and nesting sites for many seabirds. Bald eagles soar above the islands and nest in tall trees and sea lions, harbour seals, whales, dolphins and porpoises are some of the creatures that share these waters. On summer nights look for bioluminescence glittering in the ocean below, meteor showers above and occasionally, aurora borealis from the north.
