Community Clean-Up Assistance Program
The CRD Community Clean-up program supports groups that make visible environmental improvements to their community through organized clean-ups. It provides financial support for projects that:
- Achieve visible environmental benefits
- Encourage people to take environmentally responsible behaviour
All projects must be conducted within the Capital Region and include the clean up, rehabilitation or enhancement of the natural environment at one or more of the following public lands/waterways:
Green space (natural areas, recreational parks and playgrounds- Ditches or roadsides (excludes highways)
- Marine shorelines and harbours
- Lakes, ponds, rivers, creeks, streams and other natural waterways
Upcoming Events
The Burnside Gorge Community Association (BGCA) is hosting the 10th annual Gorge Waterway Cleanup on Saturday September 18th 9am-12pm, and is currently seeking volunteers.
