Event Information
Celebrate the holiday season in nature with a visit to the Francis/King Regional Park Nature Centre! Roll or stroll along
the accessible Elsie King Trail to participate in a self-guided walk exploring Indigenous Perspectives to discover the cultural significance of plants, animals and the seasons. Follow up your forest walk by warming up inside the cabin for some seasonal Indigenous crafts. Bring your own hot beverage to enjoy while you craft!
Meeting place: Drop by anytime between 10am and 1pm. This self-guided walk begins at the Nature Centre off Munn Road.
Trail Description: 800m loop with 7 benches along the way. Boardwalk and compact gravel surfaces with slight incline. Accessible washroom available near parking lot. Wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly. We may encounter dogs in our parks. This trail requires all dogs to be on leash.
Please note: We like pets too. However, their presence can be disruptive for some folks. If you plan to attend one of our programs, please leave pets at home. Guide and service animals are, of course, welcome.
