Biography
Nancy Powell, also known as Nancy The Blacksmith, began to forge metal as a volunteer at the Sooke Region Museum in 1991. She is a self-taught artist who launched the Black Cat Forge in 1997. Since then custom pieces have been commissioned world-wide including the renowned Sooke Harbour House, which she became affiliated with in 1998.
