Biography
Frank Lewis studied at the Vancouver School of Art learning from such artists as Jack Shadbolt, Gordon Smith, Arthur Erickson and Donald Jarvis in the 1950s. He had a career as a commercial artist and illustrator in Toronto and Vancouver. Frank moved to Vancouver Island where he started painted murals in 1982 – he continued to do large-scale projects for several years.

Lewis's work includes the Vancouver's 100th anniversary mural on the wall of the Maritime Museum, Peacock's Billiards in Victoria, the XV Commonwealth Games Mural in Victoria, a Heritage Townscape mural in Kenora, Ontario and one for the entrance hall of the Canadian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has painted several murals for the City of Victoria. His work also appears on canvases in many homes in Canada and the United States.
