"Tender for CENTENNIAL PARK MULTI-SPORT BOX CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT NO. 80.23.03-04" will be received by Charles Cholette, P .Eng. – Senior Project Engineer, Facilities Management and Engineering Services, Parks & Environmental Services of the Capital Regional District at their offices at 625 Fisgard Street, Victoria, British Columbia up to 1:00 pm local time on July 18th, 2024 at which time they will be opened in private.

The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include, but is not limited to, the following:

The demolition of existing lacrosse box and site preparations for the delivery and installation of a prefabricated roof structure. The expected delivery date of the prefabricated roof structure is September 6th, 2024 and the work under this contract will need to be completed to accommodate this delivery date. Some of the work scope including, but not limited to, the electrical and mechanical will need to be completed after the roof structure is installed and that will need to be 
coordinated through the CRD Project Engineer. Prime Contractor Safety responsibility falls under the General Contractor for the site from a day-to-day or week-to-week basis depending on the task being completed at the time. All safety requirements associated with this construction scope is to be coordinated with the General Contractor and the CRD Project Engineer. Contact information will be provided at a later date.

The CRD intends to award a Contract by August 2024. The CRD requires that the pricing remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days.

Proponents may be awarded follow-on work without a competition.

Digital copies may be downloaded for no cost from www.crd.bc.ca/about/contracts-rfps/ after registering as a vendor and at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca without registration. Vendors are encouraged to check BC Bid regularly for updates and not rely on e-mail notifications, as e-mail is inherently unreliable and subject to interruptions.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A non-mandatory pre-tender site meeting will be held at Centennial Park, 7526 Wallace Dr., Saanichton, BC at 10:00am, July 4th, 2024. Tenderers are recommended to visit the site to ensure that they have satisfied themselves of everything and of every condition that could affect the execution of the work. Tenderers are encouraged to make enquiries to satisfy themselves of the work requirements.
