Housing is the foundation of a happy and healthy life. At the Capital Region Housing Corporation (CRHC) and Capital Regional District (CRD), we take pride in continuing to promote, expand and provide housing options for low and moderate income families, seniors and persons living with disabilities within the capital region.
The CRHC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the CRD and is the largest non-profit housing provider on Vancouver Island, providing homes for almost 4,000 tenants in more than 50 buildings across seven municipalities.

In addition, it administers the Reaching Home Program: Canada's Homelessness Strategy, an $11.5-million, five-year agreement under the Designated Communities stream, with the goal to prevent and reduce chronic homelessness.
