"Invitation to Tender for Hartland Landfill - Kitchen Scrap Transfer Station - Contract No. 30.21.04-03"

The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include, but is not limited to, the following:

Design drawings and specifications depict the construction of the Kitchen Scrap Transfer Station. The majority of the work includes the construction of a geo-synthetic reinforced soil and lock block structure. Also included is the installation of leachate and storm water collection systems. The scope also includes installation of a potable water extension/hookup, electrical conduit and panel for service and a set of steel stairs. Other tasks include installing light standards, mounting posts for winches, guard rails, and fall protection systems.

Digital copies may be downloaded for no cost from www.crd.bc.ca/about/contracts-rfps/ after registering as a vendor and at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca without registration. Vendors are encouraged to check BC Bid regularly for updates and not rely on e-mail notifications, as e-mail is inherently unreliable and subject to interruptions.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

An optional pre-tender site meeting will be held at the Hartland Landfill Learning Center (#1 Hartland Avenue, Saanich BC) at 11am, May 9, 2024. Following the site meeting, a tour of the project site will be available. CRD staff will escort the Tenderers to the project site. Tenderers will require their own vehicles capable of safely travelling on steep and winding gravel roads. Tenderers are recommended to visit the site to ensure that they have satisfied themselves of everything and of every condition that could affect the execution of the work. Tenderers are encouraged to make enquiries to satisfy themselves of the work requirements.
