The CRD is inviting proposals from applicant organizations engaged in providing services to Indigenous homeless individuals and families. Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy is a community-based program aimed at reducing and preventing homelessness. Officially launched April 1, 2019, this federal homelessness program is supporting the most vulnerable people in the Capital Region by improving access to safe, stable and affordable housing. The CRD is the Community Entity for Reaching Home and administers this funding in the Capital Region.
This Call for Proposals (CFP) is for Indigenous Homelessness funding for the period of April 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022. The funding objective is to support the implementation of the approved 2021-22 Indigenous Homelessness Reaching Home investment plan. Details related to this Call for Proposals can be found in the Application Guide. Funded activities may not be delivered to on-reserve Indigenous communities.
An online information session to outline the application process and Reaching Home requirements will be held on August 31, 2021, 9:30 am, via Microsoft Teams. To register, please contact Jerry Michael at jmichael@crd.bc.ca.
