Sealed Tenders, plainly marked on the envelope "Tender for SGIH – PORT WASHINGTON UPGRADES: #2022-756" will be received by the Purchaser, Integrated Water Services of the Capital Regional District at their offices at 479 Island Highway, Victoria, British Columbia or via email to PurchasingIWS@crd.bc.ca up to 2:00 pm local time on May 05, 2022, at which time they will be opened “in private”.
The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include, but is not limited to, the following:
• Approach pile work to include:
Replace 7 piles located at Bent 4 (2), Bent 6, Bent 9, Bent 12 (2) and Batter Pile 8
Remove tree at Bent 1 pile A
Bent 3 – Pile A repair steel pipe coating and Pile B remove and recast footing
Replace Stringer between Pile 8A to 11A (8”x12”)
• Approach top side work to include:
Repair or replace decking (2.5”x12”) approximately 74 square meters
Repair bull rails (8”x10”) approximately 108 meters
Guardrail installation around wharf head, including top/mid rails, guard posts and
hardware, approximately 60 meters
Guardrail paint existing and new guardrail where required, approximately 110 meters.
• Float Repairs:
Remove and replace 1 pile on Float B
Replace 3 pile top caps
Repair connections between floats (2)
Install transitions between floats (2)
Repair or replace decking (2”x12”), approximately 38 square meters
Repair or replace bull rails (4”x6”), approximately 41 meters
Replace rub boards (4”x10”), approximately 4 meters
• Gangway Repairs:
Sandblast and repaint rusted areas of gangway, approximately 30 square meters
Repair warped angles of gangway (1)
Add transition plate at top of gangways (2)
Remove and replace roller bearings and hinges, Float A
Replace rusted guide L-rails (2)
Remove the existing Notice Board and replace with a new CRD Aluminum Notice Board, either on the approach or on the wharf head. This would be a provisional item.
Proponents may be awarded follow-on work without a competition.
