Notice is hereby given that Capital Regional District (the “CRD”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide consulting services for detailed design, programming, and construction inspection services for Sooke River Road Disinfection Facility for a term of one (1) year at an estimated value of $50,000.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, CRD has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
• the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:

(a) to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems

Associated Engineering has assessed the facility and provided recommendations, some successfully implemented. To address facility performance issues, due to the importance of the facility in providing potable water, continuity is required.

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Alexandria Zayonc, by email to azayonc@crd.bc.ca before 2:00pm Pacific Time, November 1, 2021. CRD will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
