NOI Title: Post Disaster Emergency Water Supply Trailer

Capital Regional District Notice is hereby given that Capital Regional District (the “CRD”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide a Post Disaster Emergency Water Supply Trailer for Integrated Water Services (“IWS”).

In accordance with applicable trade agreements CRD has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:

•the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
(a) to ensure identical equipment, design, region wide compatibility with existing systems, and build upon previous training of standardized equipment.

In a previous Invitation to Tender, Smith Cameron Process Solutions won the right to design, build and supply a custom made Post Disaster Emergency Water Supply. The CRD has identified a need to procure a second identical trailer to ensure the safe supply of Water in a post disaster emergency.

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Shayne Irg, Senior Manager Water Infrastructure Operations by email to sirg@crd.bc.ca before 2:00pm Pacific Time, March 22, 2022. CRD will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
