INVITATION TO TENDER
Sealed Tenders, plainly marked on the envelope "Tender for SSI 2022-013 Centennial Park Revitalization" will be received by the of the Capital Regional District at their offices at Manager, Salt Spring Island Parks and Recreation on at their offices at 108 - 121 McPhillips Avenue, Salt Spring Island, British Columbia up to 2:00 pm local time on Monday, August 28, 2023, at which time they will be opened in private.
The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include, but is not limited to, the following:
The removal and replacement of the existing Centennial Park concrete and brick paver plaza in Ganges, Saltspring Island BC. New works include the replacement of approximately 1275 square meters of sand blast patterned cast in place wire mesh reinforced concrete, updates to the on-site drainage, lighting, landscaping and furnishings as well as approximately 56 m of new concrete curb and gutter on the NW and SW limits of the plaza. The existing curb and brick sidewalk on Fulford-Ganges Road and the planters and trees that border and occur within the plaza will be retained.
Proponents may be awarded follow-on work without a competition.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
An optional pre-tender site meeting will be held at Centennial Park at 11:30AM on Thursday July 20th, 2023. Tenderers are recommended to visit the site to ensure that they have satisfied themselves of everything and of every condition that could affect the execution of the work. Tenderers are encouraged to make enquiries to satisfy themselves of the work requirements.
