Event Information

Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park (Saanich)

Visit CRD cultural programmer, Leslie McGarry, at Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park for a self-guided walk to discover a human history spanning thousands of years. Learn about the cultural significance of plants, animals and the seasons and how First Peoples deeply respect, appreciate and celebrate gifts from forests, rivers, lakes and the sea.

Meeting place: Meet at the information kiosk at the Filter Beds parking lot.

Trail Description: 800m total distance. Compact surface trail with exposed tree roots. Majority of walk on gravel compact trail. May be muddy after rain events. One bench on route. Accessible washroom available near the parking lot. Wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly.

Please note: We like pets too. However, their presence can be disruptive for some folks. If you plan to attend one of our programs, please leave pets at home. Guide and service animals are, of course, welcome.
