Event Information
Francis/King Regional Park (Saanich)
Visit CRD Regional Parks cultural programmer, Leslie McGarry,
for a self-guided walk to discover a human history spanning
thousands of years. Learn about the cultural significance of plants,
animals and the seasons and how First Peoples deeply respect,
appreciate and celebrate gifts from the forest.
Meeting place: Drop by anytime between 10am and 1pm. The
self-guided walk begins near the information kiosk at the Nature
Centre off Munn road.
Trail Description: 800m loop with 7 benches along the way. Boardwalk and compact gravel surfaces with slight incline. Accessible washroom available near parking lot. Wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly. We may encounter dogs in our parks. This trail requires all dogs to be on leash.
Please note: We like pets too. However, their presence can be disruptive for some folks. If you plan to attend one of our programs, please leave pets at home. Guide and service animals are, of course, welcome.
