CRD Arts Commission Approves 2020 Arts & Culture Project Grants for 25 Arts Organizations

Apr 03, 2020

Victoria, BC– The Capital Regional District (CRD) Arts Commission has approved $122,500 in funding for 25 local not-for-profit arts organizations through the Arts & Culture Support Service.

”Despite the challenges posed to presenters due to COVID-19, we are committed to supporting arts and cultural organizations,” said CRD Arts Commission Chair Jeremy Loveday. “We know that some performances will be delayed significantly and expect that other organizations will explore innovative or creative ways to present projects that implement social distancing and protect the community as directed by the Provincial Health Officer. We’ll work with funded organizations during this difficult time to support the health of the local arts sector and ensure the wellbeing of our region.”

There is one more Project Grant intake this year. The next deadline is April 30, 2020.

The CRD Arts & Culture Support Service is provided by Saanich, Victoria, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, View Royal, Highlands, Metchosin, Sooke and Southern Gulf Islands. For more information, visit www.crd.bc.ca/arts.
