Victoria, BC– Most services are returning at the Hartland Public Drop-off Depot effective today. As waste and recycling volumes have stabilized, Hartland is able to begin accepting additional drop-off items, with new protocols in place to ensure safe social distancing and operations for both residents and staff.
The following services are returning:
- Vehicle access to the public drop-off area will increase, but with additional monitoring to ensure proper social distancing can be maintained
- All regularly accepted items, including household hazardous waste (paint, propane bottles and oils) will now be accepted
- Renovation waste will now be accepted with pre-approval
Please note that Hartland is still only credit and debit payments at this time; no cash will be accepted. New site-access monitoring and social distancing protocols may result in periodic congestion and delays when trying to access the depot.
