Victoria, BC– The Capital Regional District (CRD) is developing a management plan for Mount Work Regional Park that will guide conservation, development and use of the park over the next 15 years. As part of this process, the draft management plan is now available for public review and feedback.
Following an initial engagement period between June – November 2020, the CRD reviewed approximately 10,000 comments received and developed a draft management plan that recognizes and addresses the need for conservation of the significant ecological values in the park and the desire for diverse recreational opportunities and experiences.
The draft management plan and comment form are now available at getinvolved.crd.bc.ca/mount-work for anyone who wishes to participate. Comments received will be reviewed and considered ahead of a final draft being prepared for review and approval by the CRD Board.
Comments can be provided from April 19 to May 16, 2022.
An online webinar for the public will be held April 28, 12pm-1pm. A public open house will be held at Saanich Commonwealth Place on May 11, 4:30pm-7:30pm.
