Description
The CRHC, BC Housing and the City of Victoria are working together to build approximately 205 new homes and a community centre at 926/930 Pandora Avenue.
The land is owned by the City of Victoria and will include approximately 16,000 square feet of city-owned community use space with childcare facilities on the ground floor.
The development will include 205 new non-market rental homes. These homes will be a mix of approximately 158 affordable rental housing units and up to 47 supportive housing units. The affordable rental homes will be operated by the CRHC. BC Housing will engage a non-profit operator to manage the supportive housing.
This project has been submitted under City of Victoria’s Rapid Deployment of Affordable Housing Resources process. This new process is expected to shorten a typical project timeline by up to 11 months and accelerate the construction of affordable housing in the city.
Construction is anticipated to run from 2024 to late 2027 with occupancy in early 2028.
Proposed Features include:
- 158 affordable units (CRHC)
- 47 supportive units (BC Housing)
- Community space (City of Victoria)
- Childcare services (City of Victoria)
