Cell phones and most other electronic products are managed through the province-wide Encorp Return-It product stewardship program.

Encorp Return it- has been contracted by the Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) to deliver the stewardship program under the Return-it brand. EPRA is an industry-led, not-for-profit organization that operates regulated recycling programs across Canada to ensure that end-of-life electronics are handled in a safe, secure and environmentally-sound manner.

How do I go green?

Do you really need the latest and greatest? When selecting a new phone, choose a robust model that will withstand a few years of use. Choose a green model. Charge your phone only when the battery is low and turn it off when not in use.

Give your old phone to a friend or family member. Donate to a charity, community group or school or offer it for free online through social media or an online classifieds service. Keep it as a back up in case of emergency.

Not all facilities listed below are part of one of the provincial programs and may charge a fee for drop off. Contact facilities directly regarding restrictions and charges.
