Matheson Lake Bridge Replacement

 

The CRD is replacing a small pedestrian footbridge on the Matheson Lake Trailway. The project requires: 

  1. Design and fabrication of a pedestrian bridge to meet CRD technical specification.
  2. Transportation (including helicopter services from the staging area)
  3. Installation of pedestrian bridge structure on existing abutments (built 2022)
  4. Removal and disposal of old bridge structure 

The project must be completed during the low-risk fish window for Southern Vancouver Island (August 15 to September 15, 2024).
