Victoria, BC– The Sooke and Electoral Area Park and Recreation Commission (SEAPARC) is set to launch a new recreation software platform that will streamline services and provide more flexibility.
SEAPARC, along with multiple Recreation Centres in the region, have signed on with PerfectMind, an innovative registration software platform that will provide SEAPARC users access to online registration 24/7.
“It is a big task to modernize and use this type of software, and every effort is being made to ensure we have set it up to be user friendly for all our customers,” said SEAPARC Commission Chair Mike Hicks. “Staff have been training and familiarizing themselves with the new system in order to make this transition as smooth as possible and we ask for people’s patience and understanding while this transition takes place.”
To simplify registration with the new system, people are encouraged to visit SEAPARC prior to December 7 to open an account. Those who set up an account in advance will be entered into a draw for an annual family pass or one of three $50 credits. Current membership holders will already be set up in the new system.
Registration over the phone or in person will still be available, in addition to the new online registration options. For more information, please visit www.crd.bc.ca/seaparc.
The Sooke and Electoral Area Parks and Recreation Commission (SEAPARC) creates recreational opportunities for the public through development, provision and operation of the recreational facilities, programs and activities. SEAPARC is a partnership of the municipality of Sooke and western communities in the JDF Electoral Area (Port Renfrew, Otter Point, Shirley, Jordan River and East Sooke). The commission serves the residents of these areas. Funding for the commission comes from property taxes and user fees.
