The CRD, in cooperation with local municipalities, electoral areas and industry, work together to develop regulations and best management practices (BMPs) to protect human health, public and private infrastructure, natural resources and the environment.
Regulations and BMPs are applied evenly throughout the district based on the support of the participating local government. This approach helps ensure there is a fair and level playing field for industrial, commercial & institutional (ICI) facilities operating in the same area.
It is also recognized that there are many ICI types serving the region’s residents and the business community.
