Due to a wildfire located north of Sooke Potholes Regional Park, the Galloping Goose Regional Trail between Todd Creek Trestle and the trail terminus at Kapoor Regional Park is closed until further notice. See area map for details. Emergency crews, including mutual aid partners and BC Wildfire Service, are actively responding to the incident.
As a precaution, Sooke Potholes Regional park and the Spring Salmon Place (KWL-UCHUN) Campground have also been closed and evacuated and all persons are asked to avoid the area. This is an evolving situation, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
